Girl Scout Cookies

This year, Girl Scout Cookies have been a hard thing to find.  I have always enjoyed a Thin Mint here and there over the years, but for some reason I have been taunted by them this year.  So, at the begining cookie season I thought to myself how it would be nice to get a box or two of Thin Mints and put them in the freezer.  Did I not know that finding these delicious treats would be so hard to find.  Not only did it took me several weeks, but I think my searching went well over a month.  I really believe I became a little crazy for them.  I kept missing them.  I couldn’t find them at any grocery store or Wal-Mart around.  These cookies were hiding!  I even went to the NC Coastal Pines office to ask where to find them.  They didn’t know only but to check out in front of the same stores I had been going to.   My search went on . . .

It finally came down to one Saturday after doing an event with TNF that I went on my search.  I told myself that I would make a loop.  If I found them or not, it would be my last search for the year.  I made this loop, I hit the Food Lion, Target, Kroger, Harris Teeter, another Kroger, Home Depot, Lowes and then in my last hope….  I came across in front of a K-Mart.  A complete surprise!  I was amazed by the light that shined down on the almost collapsible table with a tiny Girl Scout banner!  I was super excited as I parked the car and walked up!  Soon, I was the proud owner of enough cookies.  Will I ever say how many boxes I really got?  Maybe not.  Though I did some Thin Mints (my fav!), Samoas, Peanut Butter, Gingerbread and maybe some more!

Check out some of my photos from my adventures!!!
